Today, Pastor Dave, the Old Vic and myself celebrated the one year anniversary of my heart attack by walking up BEN RINNES. Praise God.
It was a great day and we really enjoyed the time together. It took us 1hr 30mins to get to the top and we then spent about 45 mins up there. From the summit you can see 7 counties on a clear day - and today was a clear day!Check out Blue Daves' Photos for some shots of Ben Rinnes and the surrounding scenery.
Kriss got home safe and sound last night after her Glasgow trip. She is also happy about me starting to change the study set up - so that's a relief!
More good news about Tony - he has been able to take about 30 steps in the walking frame but also he was able to take a few steps using one crutch and holding on to the nurse with the other hand! His wife Lindsay has been asked to check out a rehab place in a town called Lemington Spa which is very close to home. If she is happy with it then they will transfer Tony to it on Monday. Yippee! Praise God!
Everton had another bad day losing 0 v 1 to Wigan Athletic who are newly promoted to the Premiership. I am dreading this coming Thursday evening as we have the second leg of the European match against Dinamo Bucharest.
Went out last night with the girls from work. We went bowling and had a really good time together. I got some strange looks from some folk as I was the only guy amongst 12 women!!! The girls were really impressed that Kriss came and picked me up after travelling all the way up from Glasgow!
Well that's about it for today. I'm just so grateful to God's upholding this past twelve months. The year has just flown by. It was great to be with Christian brothers today as I gave thanks to God for the recovery from that heart attack.
Thank you Father.
