Kriss is

away on her travels again - this time with her job. She has been down in Glasgow today for an interview for a Deputy Area Manager's post. She will be visiting daughter 'R' this evening and then travelling north tomorrow and then south again on Wednesday and back home on Friday!

The local town of Elgin is on flood alert this evening which is worrying for the folks who have been flooded out twice in the last seven years! The local council are intent on spending millions of pounds on a flood relief scheme which basically consists of miles of barrier walls through the town and which is taking a long time to implement because of planning applications etc. A few civil engineers are saying that all that needs to be done is the dredging and clearing of the River Lossie which goes through the town. Also the weirs from the old mill sites need to be taken away so that there are no obstructions left. So why don't they just get on with it? Well could I just suggest that it could be that certain individuals and companies would miss out if the simple method was used? Far be it for me to suggest that it's all about money and who gets what but Moray Council is already considered to be one of the worst run in Scotland! Enough said.

I'm helping out with "Underground" tonight with a view to be a permanent helper. "Underground" is for 10 -13 year olds, mainly unchurched. It's a great work and most of the children are from the local housing scheme so it's a good way to reach the rest of each family.

My job is going well and I'm starting to be more relaxed around the children. We've got a staff night out on Thursday and I will be the only guy amongst a bunch of ladies!!!

So that's me up to date - nothing deeply spiritual but God is good! - All the time! - All the time! - God is good!
