weekend it has been! Praise God!
Friday evening myself & Kriss had a lovely time at home together - not quite a candle lit dinner but a lovely supper where we just spent time talking and catching up. It's great to have someone who listens properly and who doesn't just nod their head from time to time as if they were listening. It's good to be a listener as well. Thank you Kriss.
Yesterday started out wet, the sky was just full of rain and it rained the whole day! However John & Miriam's wedding was a wonderful occasion and we just had a wonderful, wonderful time. The ceremony was conducted by our equivalent of State Overseer and he set the tone for the rest of the day. He was serious at the appropriate points and light hearted enough to put everyone at ease. The company and the meal in the afternoon were excellent and the swing band for the evening were just spot on. The speeches were really, really good and the groom and the bestman did themselves proud seeing as neither of them had spoken in public, like that, before! All in all, a wonderful day!
We have had two lovely services today and to top off the whole weekend Everton drew 2 v2 away at Southampton. Now I have to say that we were awful today; Southampton had most of the play but we just don't know when we are beaten - we drew level literally in the last few seconds of the match! Wooooooooohooooooo!!!
So, that's me for now. Just waiting for Kriss to come home after speaking at the Inverness Church of God this evening.
