What

a stormy night that has been! The garage door has been burst open by the wind and the fence round a corner of the back garden has had some fence panels ripped out! (see above). We didn't lose the electricity or the phone line so that's good. It is still very windy and some of our potted bushes have been blown around but I think we have been very fortunate compared to some folk. Was watching the news earlier and Scotland has suffered quite a battering over the last twelve hours.

Kriss is giving the evening message at church on Sunday and she started praying and studying about it last night whilst I was at the men's fellowship. It was good to be with some of the guys last night and one thing that came out of last nights meeting for me was that we need to be men of God; we need to stand up and be counted as men of God, not some figment of some writer's imagination were Christian men are generally portayed as weird or weak! I get frustrated that the TV networks and progamme makers cannot seem to bring themselves to portray Christians or a Christian family as "normal" type people. We live here, in this world, and although we may not be of this world we still have to deal with the situations that this world throws up. The most recent "religous" characters I have seen on TV have been portrayed as people who constantly quote scriptures from the Bible, don't have any fun in their lives and who just constantly bad mouth "non-believers". Argh!!! Wow, don't know were that came from! Ha!

Right, off into town to the bank and then for walk along the beach.
