father-in-law!
Yesterday went really well and although it was cold it didn't rain - Praise God!
The bride looked terrific; the groom looked distinguished in his all black Highland outfit; Pastor Dave did a terriffic job throughout the ceremony; Jon, Wendy & Liz, from church, did a great job behind the scenes and we think everyone enjoyed themselves. The barbeque was well appreciated and the cold buffet centre piece was a fresh salmon that had been swimming in the the Spey river the day before.
The evening dance was in town and unfortunately I just felt so emotionally and physically drained that me and Kriss were home by 10pm. It had been a busy 4 days starting with the marquee going up on Wednesday but praise God that everything came together with the help of some lovely people including our daughter R and her boyfriend M. Thanks to everyone.
The news about Tony is good despite his injuries. He has suspected spinal injuries but there is feeling and movement in his right leg; there is a collapsed lung and the possibility of a fractured skull; there has been a brain scan with no indicated brain damage and he lost a lot of blood because one of his arms was wrenched out of place so badly that the main artery was ruptured.
However, today, although he is still unconcious, he is moving his head and responding appropriately to voices and touch and the medics are pleased with his progress. Apparently the air ambulance helicopter responded very quickly which basically saved his life.
Tony's wife has been provided with a room at the hospital and his mum and dad are flying up tomorrow. Also tomorrow a surgeon who specialises in this type of trauma will be coming up from down south.
We thank you for your prayers but we still covet them.
We praise God for a blessed day yesterday and we give thanks.
