went forward last night so we are now in BST (British Summer Time). Which basically means that this evening we shall not see the light start to fade until about 7.45, which is good. In fact, being this far north within Britain means that we end up with longer days generally than a lot of the rest of Britain. Which is nice.
Going south tomorrow to visit Rachel, our daughter. It's about a 3 hour trip so hopefully we will be away by 8.30 and then home by 10pm. Haven't seen her since New Year so it will be good to hook up again.
Results from yesterday: England 4 v 0 Northern Ireland; Wales 0 v 2 Austria; Italy 2 v 0 Scotland; Israel 1 v 1 Rep. of Ireland.
These were all World Cup Qualifiers. Scotland, I thought, should have got something from the match but they just lacked finishing quality in front of goal. They played well in the second half and Italy's two goals were from direct free kicks, so they didn't get anything from open play. England did what everyone expected and, whilst it wasn't easy, this is the sort of result they need to get against teams of the quality of Northern Ireland. Wales got caught out by two late goals and the rep. of Ireland struggled to get a draw in Israel.
Kriss is napping after a lovely lunch and it will be a shame to wake her up. She is on vacation for the next few weeks and I know she has got plans for jobs around the house! Time to escape methinks!
Mens' fellowship is going bowling on Tuesday night - there will be about 10 of us. We have booked three lanes and it will be good to spend sometime together in a social atmosphere.
Probably won't blog again until Tuesday.
